Im Hamburger Westen, wo vor hundert Jahren noch das große Gaswerk für das
Licht von ganz Altona sorgte, wird heute gelebt und gearbeitet. Das 25hours
Hotel Number One ist Teil des Otto von Bahrenparks, der auch das Gastwerk
Hotel einschließt. Im angrenzenden Ottensen findet man einen Rest von
rebellischer Szene und vor allem viele lauschige Ecken mit gediegenen Cafés
und einem attraktiven Shopping- und Nachtleben. Und natürlich liegen auch
die O² World und das HSV-Stadion im Hamburger Westen. Schanze, Kiez und
Hafen sind außerdem in kürzester Zeit mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln
erreichbar. Die nächsten Haltestellen um das Hotel heißen: Bornkampsweg
(Buslinie 2, 3), Bahrenfeld (S-Bahn S1, S11) und Bahnhof Altona (Fernbahnhof).
Zur Autobahn A7 sind es circa 1,5 km.
A hundred years ago, a large gasworks kept the lights on throughout Altona
here in the west of Hamburg. Now, it is a place to live and work. The 25hours
Hotel Number One is part of Otto von Bahrenpark, which also includes the
Gastwerk Hotel. Neighbouring Ottensen still has something of a rebellious
subculture but is mainly popular for its many enticing corners packed with
tasteful cafés, attractive shops and nightspots. The west of Hamburg is also
home to the O² World arena and the HSV football stadium. The Schanzenviertel area, Kiez red-light district and harbour are all a short ride away using
public transport. The closest bus stops and rail stations are: Bornkampsweg
(bus routes 2 and 3), Bahrenfeld (S-Bahn lines S1 and S11) and Altona (mainline
station). The A7 motorway is approx. 1.5 km away.

kleiner Terrasse, Kamin und Jukebox auf der anderen. Bei entsprechendem
Wetter steht die Dachterrasse für Pausen zur Verfügung.
With its two different-sized Freiraum function rooms, the 25hours Hotel
Number One offers a creative platform for constructive meetings. The
conference rooms are suitable for workshops attended by up to 25 and 60
people respectively. The adjacent Eventbar and the Wohnzimmer lounge
are ideal for larger-scale events. Spanning 80 m², the Wohnzimmer lounge
has mobile room dividers allowing it to be used as a single space with the
Freiraum 1. This makes it perfect for creating a unique atmosphere: you can
set up your meeting however you like on one side and provide a laid-back
lounge with a small terrace, a fireplace and a jukebox on the other.

The 128 guest rooms at the 25hours Hotel Number One feature
cool retro style – subtle textured wallpaper, exposed concrete
and lots of bright white – or a pretty romantic design with
floral wallpaper, zebrawood and red/magenta highlights. All
of the rooms share an unobtrusive, clear style twinned with
maximum versatility. Almost all of the furniture consists of
bespoke pieces by young designers, combined with real design
classics. All of the rooms have free Wi-Fi (there is a free LAN
connection in the five rooms at the 25hours Guesthouse).

Das 25hours Hotel HafenCity ist das erste Hotel im großen Entwicklungsgebiet
am Hamburger Hafen. Als Teil des Überseequartiers befindet sich das Haus
im Herzen der HafenCity zwischen Attraktionen wie der Elbphilharmonie, dem
Kreuzfahrtterminal und dem Internationalen Maritimen Museum. Der Standort
ist an der Nahtstelle zwischen dem traditionellen Hafenquartier und Speicherstadt rund um St. Katharinen und der hypermodernen HafenCity. Auf insgesamt
rund 286.000 Quadratmetern Bruttogrundfläche und 16 Gebäuden vereint das
Überseequartier Einzelhandel, Gastronomie, Wohnen und Arbeiten und schafft
so ein aufregendes, neues urbanes Zentrum. Das Hotel ist Teil des nördlichen
Überseequartiers, das seit 2010 schrittweise eröffnet wurde. Der südliche Teil
des Quartiers entsteht in den nächsten Jahren.
The 25hours Hotel HafenCity is the first hotel in the major new development
by the Port of Hamburg. As part of the Überseequartier district, the hotel is
in the heart of the HafenCity between attractions such as the Elbe Philharmonic
Hall, the cruise ship terminal and the International Maritime Museum. It is
located where traditional harbour architecture and the historic warehouses
of the Speicherstadt around St Catherine’s Church meet the ultra-modern
HafenCity. The new Überseequartier has 16 buildings and a total gross area
of approximately 286,000 square metres. It is an exciting new urban centre
with shops, restaurants, apartments and offices. The hotel forms part of
the northern Überseequartier, which has been opened in phases since 2010.
The southern part of the district will be developed over the next few years.

The guest rooms at the 25hours Hotel HafenCity are cosy
oases of calm in a variety of warm colour combinations. They
tell the stories of 25 real and fictional sailors, whose stormy
voyages, rough ways, easy women and faraway destinations
inspired the illustrations which form the backdrop to each
room. Every room has its own logbook telling its mariner’s
tale in full – plus a pilot ladder from floor to ceiling and a
custom-made sea chest with everything you could possibly
need in your cabin.
