The multi-talent among fittings: IXMO from KEUCO
More functionality in the smallest of spaces, with maximum planning freedom
With IXMO shower and bath tub fittings, KEUCO unites innovative technology with minimalistic
design. With a diameter or edge length of only 90 mm and a depth of only 80 mm, the visible
parts are impressively small. What’s special is that all modules have the same dimensions. "It
was the abstract concept of 'Less can do more', which guided us like a compass throughout the
entire development process," summarises Dirk Hagedorn, Head of Product Development. The
concentration of functions makes IXMO unique. For example, it successfully combines three-way
diverter valve, wall outlet and hand shower bracket all in only one module.
Each IXMO solution is based on a thermostat or a single-lever mixer. As needed, multi-functional
modules are added which, in addition to connections for one, two or three water channels, also
compactly unite other functions such as a wall outlet, hand shower bracket, stop cock, or selector.
Bath tub or shower? One or several outlets? Round or rectangular decor disc? IXMO offers a
variety of combination options for bathroom fittings. The brilliant chrome finish emphasizes the
precise forms and the value of the fittings. The single-lever mixer is available with its own handle,
but also in other design variations matching all KEUCO fittings' series.
IXMO was designed by the Tesseraux + Partner design agency in Potsdam. “Merging the
functions together was an exciting challenge. Every day we came up with new ideas and that is
how we established the conditions for a completely unique design approach," comments Designer
Dominik Tesseraux, who has been designing for companies including KEUCO since 2004. They
were excellent ideas too – as it turned out – IXMO being crowned with the IF Design Award.

As these fittings units are capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously, the number of
visible parts on the wall can be reduced. This offers formerly undreamed-of choice when planning
shower and bath tub fittings. IXMO harmonises aesthetic design and sensible functionality in a
personalised and versatile way.

IXMO is also extremely flexible in terms of installation, offering completely new possibilities in
bathroom design. The positioning of the separate fittings' units can be chosen individually. For
example, the stop cock can also be mounted outside of the shower, so that it can be operated
before even stepping into the shower.
KEUCO offers a helpful aid to deal with the numerous combination possibilities: With the help of
the IXMO online planner at www.ixmo.de, with its detailed product listings and descriptions, it is
possible to individually configure shower and bath tub solutions. Once the online planning is
finished, an overview of the products is provided. The list can be printed out to talk about it
directly with the installer or trade dealer. More information about IXMO is available digitally as an
app for the tablet.
