INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
INITIAL FITTING
TRIMMING “ALL-IN-ONE“ SKINS
USE AND STORAGE
ADVICE
When purchasing easyfix carving skins, be
sure to buy the correct length, since they can
only be shortened by up to 4 centimetres, due
to the sidecut. contour easyfix carving models
are available in lengths of 150, 155, 160, 165,
170, 175, 180 and 185 cm.
1. Stick hook section with buckle to the loop
section that is laminated on the skin.
If possible, mount the skins at room temperature to provide best glue performance.
2. Remove protective foil, attach front buckle
to ski-tip and stick skin centrally on the ski
base, press firmly.
At the top, remove hook section from the
ski-tip and reattach it immediately to the loop
part on the skin to prevent losing it (pic. 1 – 3).
At very low temperatures, put your skins
under your jacket for a few minutes before
mounting them. Make sure that the ski base
is clean, dry and free from snow-crystals
before mounting the skins.
Remove protective foil and keep it for storage
of the skins later. Attach the tail hook to the
tail of the ski and stick the complete skin on
the ski-base. Mount the metal buckle at the
ski-tip and attach the hook section to the
laminated loop section on the skin. If the skin
extends over the metal buckle it can easily be
shortened. The hook section should slightly
extend over the loop section, cut off excessive
length.
CONTOUR EASY
Easy skins (from 76 mm waist width) are more
variable and can be shortened by up to 9 cm.
They are available in lengths of 155, 165, 175
and 185 cm.
Remove protective foil and keep it for storage
of the skins. Stick the skins to the ski top down
and cut the excessive material. Now attach
the “shark” tail hook as described in point 7.
contour skins are made of Mohair (hair of
the angora goat) with 30 % synthetic fibres.
They offer a perfect combination of climbing
and gliding performance plus resistance
to abrasion. The newly developed hotmeltglue works extremely well even at low
temperatures.
3. Cut with attached knife, first alongside
one edge (left), beginning at the tip of
the ski.
4. Then remove the
skin and reattach it
non-centrally (3-4 mm
to the right). Now cut
alongside the other
(right) edge as explained above.
5. Place skin centrally
again, leaving the
edges on both sides uncovered.
Turn the skin and fix it on the ski-tip so that
the glue faces towards you. Cover the top half
of the skin with one half of the protective foil
(cut it to half beforehand) and fold the bottom
half upwards onto the foil (pic. 4). This keeps
the glue from attracting dirt and drying out.
Always let the skins dry completely at room
temperature with the glue side covered. Store
them wrapped in the stuff sack, protected
from sunlight and heat.
To avoid damage to the glue, always protect
your skins from heat and dirt.
6. If you are using a twin-tip ski, slide seperate buckle through rear end of the trimmed
skin, overlapping by about 3 cm. If the skin
is too wide, taper it on both sides. Overlap
and press glued part together. Slide black
plastic clip sideways over the fold to fix
the overlapping part without rivets.
7. With other skis, slide included tail hook
„shark“ from the side to the center of the
rear end of the skin, the teeth pointing to
the glue. Using a hammer, press the teeth
into the glued fabric. Thus the tail hook is
permanently fixed at the end of the skin.
Especially when going on extended trips and
at low temperatures, carefully check the glue
and renew it in due time by applying new
glue. Glue is available in tubes or on transfertape at your dealer.
contour impregnating wax helps to prevent
clogging of snow in wet conditions.
DISPOSAL
With proper care, contour skins will last for
approximately 60 to 100 trips, depending
on snow conditions. Worn out skins can be
disposed of as domestic rubbish.
Beware of the danger of avalanches.
Always wear a beacon and carry an
avalanche shovel and a probe. Learn
how to use these tools and practise
regularly!

8. For storage cut protective foil in half and
cover the skin‘s top half (glueside) with it.
Now fold lower half upwards protecting
all of the sticky side.

GEBRAUCHSHINWEISE
ANPASSEN CONTOUR EASYFIX
Beim Kauf von easyfix Carving-Haftfellen
auf die passende Länge achten, da diese
aufgrund der Taillierung nur beschränkt zu
kürzen sind. Easyfix Carving Modelle sind in
den Längen 150, 155, 160, 165, 170, 175, 180 und
185 cm erhältlich und lassen sich bis zu 4 cm
kürzen.
Schutzfolie abziehen und zur späteren
Lagerung der Felle aufbewahren, Endhaken
am Skiende einhängen und Fell in der ganzen
Länge nach vorne auf den Skibelag aufkleben.
Spitzenteil mit Bügel an der Skispitze einhängen und Klette auf Flausch fixieren. Das
Fell mit auflaminiertem Flauschteil kann bei
Bedarf mit einer Schere gekürzt werden.
Die Klettlasche sollte den Flauschteil am
hinteren Ende zum leichteren Anfassen etwas
überragen, Überlänge auch hier abschneiden.
CONTOUR EASY
contour easy Haftfelle (ab Mittelbreite 76 mm)
sind in der Länge wesentlich variabler. Sie
sind deshalb in den Längen 155, 165, 175 und
185 cm erhältlich und können etwa 9 cm
gekürzt werden.
Schutzfolie abziehen und zur späteren
Lagerung der Felle aufbewahren, das Fell von
vorne auf den Ski kleben und das überstehende Ende abschneiden. Nun müssen Sie
noch den beiliegenden „Shark“ Endhaken
anbringen (siehe Punkt 7).
contour Haftfelle werden aus Mohair (dem
geschorenen Haar der Angora­ziege) und 30 %
synthetischen Fasern gefertigt und zeichnen
sich durch sehr gute Gleit- und Steigeigenschaften aus. Der neu entwickelte HotmeltKleber bietet beste Haftung auch bei tiefen
Temperaturen.
ANPASSEN „ALL-IN-ONE“
ZUSCHNEIDFELLE
1. Klett-Lasche mit Bügel auf dem am Fell
auflaminierten Flauschteil fixieren.
2. Abdeckfolie vom Fell abziehen und Fell
zentriert auf den Skibelag kleben, gut
andrücken.
3. Mit dem beigelegten Messer
das Fell zuerst auf der einen
(linken) Seite von der Skispitze
beginnend nach unten entlang
der Skikante zuschneiden. Fell
am Skiende quer abschneiden.
4. Fell komplett abziehen, um 3 – 4 mm
(nach rechts) versetzt wieder montieren
und gleichmäßig andrücken. Jetzt entlang
der anderen (rechten) Skikante wie
beschrieben zuschneiden.
5. Nun Fell zentriert so aufziehen, dass
Skikanten auf beiden Seiten frei bleiben.
6. Bei Verwendung mit Twin-Tip-Ski den
separaten Bügel etwa 3 cm über das
Fellende stecken. Sollte das Fell zu breit
sein, seitlich etwas zuschneiden. Fellende
umschlagen und schwarzen Kunststoffclip
seitlich über die Umschlagkante schieben.
So ist der Umschlag ohne Nieten dauerhaft fixiert.
7. Bei anderen Ski (nicht Twin-Tip) den
beigefügten Endhaken „Shark“ seitlich
bis zur Mitte des Fellendes aufschieben
(glatte Fläche fellseitig, Haken kleberseitig). Klemmlaschen auf beiden Seiten des
Hakens mittels Hammer oder Flachzange
flachklopfen bzw. -drücken. So ist der
Haken dauerhaft fixiert.
8. Zur Lagerung Schutzfolie halbieren und
die vordere Hälfte (Kleberseite) des Fells
abdecken. Die andere Hälfte nach vorne
auf die Folie falten, damit die Klebeschicht
vollständig abgedeckt wird.
GEBRAUCH UND LAGERUNG
ENTSORGUNG
Felle wenn möglich schon bei Raumtemperatur montieren, dadurch ist eine bestmögliche
Haftung am Ski gewährleistet.
Bei entsprechender Pflege haben
contour Haftfelle eine Lebensdauer von ca.
60–100 Touren. Aufgebrauchte Haftfelle können über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Nach dem Aufstieg Klettlasche von der Skispitze lösen und sofort wieder am Flauschteil
fixieren, damit sie nicht verloren gehen kann
(Abb. 1 – 3).
Felle von vorne abziehen und mit der Klebeseite nach außen wieder an der Skispitze
einhängen. Klebefläche bis zur Mitte mit der
vor der Tour auf die halbe Länge gekürzten
Schutzfolie abdecken und Fellende nach vorne
auf die Folie falten (Abb. 4). Beim Lagern wird
damit ein Austrocknen des Klebers an den
Rändern verhindert und das Auseinanderziehen erleichtert.
Nach der Tour Felle bei Zimmertemperatur
mit abgedeckter Klebefläche trocknen lassen
und lichtgeschützt im Packsack aufbewahren.
TIPPS
Haftfelle bei extremer Kälte vor dem Aufziehen am Körper anwärmen und darauf achten,
dass der Skibelag trocken, sauber und frei von
Schneekristallen ist.
Besonders vor längeren Touren und bei tiefen
Temperaturen sollte die Klebefläche kontrolliert und gegebenenfalls erneuert werden.
Fellkleber ist in Tuben oder als transfer-tape
zum Aufbügeln im Fachhandel erhältlich.
Stark verschmutzte Haftflächen können
mittels Heissluftgerät und breiter Spachtel
gereinigt werden.
contour Imprägnierwachs hilft, ein Anstollen
der Felle bei Wechsel von feuchtem in trockenen Schnee zu vermeiden.
