Herzstück ist der BRABUS SV 12 Biturbo
Hubraummotor. Durch die Montage einer
speziell konzipierten und aus dem Vollen
gefrästen Kurbelwelle, Kolben mit größerem
Durchmesser und feingewuchteter Pleuel
steigt der Hubraum von serienmäßigen 5,5
auf 6,3 Liter an. Zusätzlich erhält der aufgeladene V12 eine durchsatzoptimierte
Edelstahl-Hochleistungsauspuffanlage mit
Metallkatalysatoren. Eine spezielle Motorelektronik stimmt die einzelnen Komponenten exakt aufeinander ab.

Der neue offene Supersportwagen
Die Kraftübertragung erfolgt über ein verstärktes Fünfgang-Automatikgetriebe, das wie alle
BRABUS Motoren mit ARAL Hochleistungsschmierstoffen betrieben wird.
Die Fahrleistungen des bärenstarken Zweisitzers sprechen für sich: Mit 4,3 Sekunden
für den Sprint aus dem Stand auf Tempo
100, 12,9 Sekunden bis 200 km/h und einer
elektronisch auf 310 km/h begrenzten
Höchstgeschwindigkeit gehört der BRABUS
SV 12 Biturbo Roadster zu den schnellsten
Sportwagen der Welt.
Ebenso wichtig für den individuellen Look
sind die ein- und mehrteiligen BRABUS Monoblock Leichtmetallfelgen, die auf dem neuen
Roadster in drei verschiedenen Designs in
18, 19 und 20 Zoll Durchmesser montiert
werden können.
Form und Funktion in höchster Perfektion:
Die BRABUS Aerodynamikteile, die für alle
aktuellen SL Modelle erhältlich sind, bieten
nicht nur einen sportlich-eleganten Auftritt,
sondern auch aerodynamische Vorzüge. Bei
hohen Geschwindigkeiten wird die Fahrstabilität durch eine Reduktion des Auftriebs an
der Vorderachse weiter verbessert.
Die BRABUS Hochleistungsbremsanlage mit
innenbelüfteten und gelochten Bremsscheiben im Mega-Format 375 x 36 mm und
12-Kolben-Festsätteln vorne sowie innenbelüfteten und gelochten 355 x 28 mm
Scheiben und 6-Kolben-Festsätteln an der
Hinterachse ist selbst höchsten Belastungen
problemlos gewachsen.
Um die hohe Fahrdynamik des aktuellen
SL Roadsters noch weiter steigern zu können, entwickelte BRABUS ein ElektronikModul für das ABC Fahrwerk, das die
Karosserie um ca. 15 Millimeter tieferlegt.
Luxus und Individualität pur im Interieur ist
eine weitere BRABUS Spezialität. Die Bandbreite des Angebots an exklusiven Accessoires reicht von Echt-Carbon Einstiegsleisten

12 bi-turbo roadster, a super sports car
based on the new Mercedes SL 600 that is
as powerful as it is exclusive.
The heart of this car is the new BRABUS SV
12 bi-turbo increased-displacement engine.
Installation of a custom-designed crankshaft
milled from one piece, larger diameter pistons and precision-balanced piston rods increase displacement from standard 5.5 to
6.3 liters. The turbocharged V12 is also fitted
with a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with less flow resistance and
metal catalysts. Custom-programmed engine
electronics ensure the flawless interaction of
all components.
Power is transferred via a reinforced fivespeed automatic transmission that is
operated with ARAL high-performance
lubricants, as are all BRABUS engines.
Performance of the two-seater is equally
impressive: 4.3 seconds from rest to
100 km/h, 12.9 seconds to 200 km/h
and an electronically limited top speed of
310 km/h make the BRABUS SV 12 bi-turbo
roadster one of the fastest sports cars in
the world.
Form and function at the highest level of
perfection: The BRABUS aerodynamicenhancement parts, which are available for
all current SL models, create a sporty yet
elegant appearance and offer aerodynamic
advantages as well. At high speeds they help
reduce lift on the front axle thus further
improving directional stability.
Just as important for a customized appearance are one-piece and multi-piece BRABUS
Monoblock light-alloy wheels, which can
be mounted on the new roadster in three
different designs with 18-, 19- and 20-inch
diameters.
To further increase the already impressive
handling characteristics of the current SL
roadster BRABUS developed an electronic
module for the ABC suspension, which lowers
the ride height by about 15 millimeters.
The BRABUS high-performance brake system
easily handles even the most extreme braking stress. It features 375 x 36 mm vented
and perforated mega-disks with 12-piston
fixed calipers in front, and vented and perforated 355 x 28 mm disks with six-piston
fixed calipers on the rear axle.
Unadulterated luxury and individuality in the
interior are yet another BRABUS specialty.
The list of available exclusive interior options
includes sill plates made from genuine
carbon with illuminated BRABUS logo,
ergonomically shaped safety steering wheels
with airbag, steering-wheel shifter and heated rim, a speedometer with 360-km/h scale,
and an interior trim kit made from genuine
carbon.
To upgrade the COMAND system BRABUS
offers the integration of a DVD changer and
the BRABUS Internet system. The latter is
operated with the standard buttons of the
COMAND system - no additional equipment is
necessary. This innovative new development
uses its own Internet platform and the GPRS
standard to connect to numerous content
providers such as traffic or news services,
weather forecasts, hotel reservations, and
many other useful online services.

Immer einen Schritt voraus: Zeitgleich mit
dem Verkaufsstart des neuen Mercedes
E-Klasse T-Modells konnte BRABUS bereits
ein weitgefächertes Tuningprogramm für alle
Modellvarianten anbieten. Ebenso einzigartig
wie das weitgefächerte Programm ist die
BRABUS Tuning-Garantie bis 3 Jahre oder
100.000 Kilometer gemäß den BRABUS
Garantiebedingungen.
Für die Sechszylinder Modelle E 240 und
E 320 gibt es als Spitzenvariante den
BRABUS 3.8 V6 Hubraummotor, mit dem die
Höchstleistung von normal 224 PS / 165 kW
auf 280 PS / 206 kW bei 5.750 U/min
ansteigt. Simultan erhöht sich das maximale
Drehmoment auf 390 Nm, das zwischen 3.000
und 4.500 U/min bereit steht.
Davon profitieren selbstverständlich die Fahrleistungen des Fünftürers: Aus dem Stand
beschleunigt der getunte Kombi in nur
7,9 Sekunden auf Tempo 100, die Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei 249 km/h.
BRABUS Motortuning gibt es selbstverständlich auch für alle neuen Mercedes E-Klasse
T-Modelle mit Common-Rail Turbodieselmotoren. Für den E 220 CDI wurde das
BRABUS D3 Leistungsmodul entwickelt, das
die Höchstleistung von serienmäßigen
150 PS / 110 kW auf 177 PS / 130 kW
steigert. Gleichzeitig wächst das maximale
Drehmoment von normal 340 Nm auf
380 Nm bei nur 2.000 U/min an.
Einen deutlichen Leistungssprung macht
auch der E 270 CDI mit BRABUS D4 Tuning:
Nach dem Umbau stehen 215 PS / 158 kW
bei 4.200 U/min und ein maximales Drehmoment von 475 Nm bereit.
Mit BRABUS D6 Leistungssteigerung produziert das E 320 CDI Triebwerk 250 PS /
184 kW bei 4.200 U/min und ein maximales
Drehmoment von 540 Nm. Damit sprintet der
getunte Selbstzünder in nur 7,7 Sekunden
auf Tempo 100 und erreicht eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 242 km/h. Zusätzlich
bietet BRABUS für alle Motorvarianten des
neuen Mercedes E-Klasse T-Modells maßgeschneiderte Edelstahl-Sportauspuffanlagen an.
Um die elegante Linienführung der neuen
Mercedes E-Klasse sportlicher zu akzentuieren, entwickelten die BRABUS Designer
einen elegant geformten Aerodynamik-Kit,
der in Erstausrüstungsqualität in Pur-R-Rim
gefertigt wird.
Räder machen Autos und so gibt es für das
neue E-Klasse T-Modell die BRABUS Monoblock IV, V und VI Leichtmetallfelgen in verschiedenen Ausführungen in Durchmessern
von 17 bis 20 Zoll.
In Kooperation mit SACHS Race Engineering
wurden für das neue T-Modell verschiedene
BRABUS Fahrwerkslösungen entwickelt. Die
BRABUS Hochleistungsbremsanlage besteht
aus 360 Millimeter großen Scheiben und
Sechskolben-Aluminiumsätteln an der Vorderachse und Vierkolben-Bremszangen hinten.
Die Bandbreite des BRABUS Interieur Angebots reicht von Edelstahl-Einstiegsleisten
über ergonomisch geformte Airbag-Sicherheitslenkräder bis zur exklusiven BRABUS
Innenausstattung in einer Kombination aus
besonders weichem und dennoch strapazierfähigem BRABUS Mastik Leder und Alcantara.
Always a step ahead: Concurrent with the
start of sales of the new Mercedes E-Class
Wagon BRABUS was able to offer an extensive tuning program for all models. Just as
unique as the extensive program is the
BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years or
100,000 kilometers.
Top-of-the-line version for the six-cylinder
models E 240 and E 320 is the BRABUS
3.8 V6 increased-displacement engine,
which increases power output from normally
224 hp/165 kW to 280 hp/206 kW at
5,750 rpm. At the same time maximum
torque grows to 390 Nm between 3,000
and 4,500 rpm.
Performance of the five-door benefits
accordingly: The tuned wagon accelerates
in just 7.9 seconds to 100 km/h; top speed
is 249 km/h.
BRABUS engine tuning is also available for
all new E-Class wagons with common-rail
turbodiesel engines. The BRABUS D3 performance module was developed for the
E 220 CDI. It increases maximum power
output from 150 hp/110 kW to 177 hp/
130 kW, and boosts maximum torque from
340 Nm to 380 Nm at just 2,000 rpm.
The E 270 CDI also exhibits a notable power
increase with BRABUS D4 Tuning: After the
conversion the engine develops 215 hp/
158 kW at 4,200 rpm and produces a
maximum torque of 475 Nm.
The E 320 CDI with BRABUS D6 performance
kit delivers 250 hp / 184 kW at 4,200 rpm
and produces 540 Nm of peak torque. Thus
equipped the tuned diesel accelerates in just
7.7 seconds to 100 km/h and reaches a top
speed of 242 km/h.
BRABUS also offers custom-tailored stainlesssteel sport exhaust systems for all available
engines of the new Mercedes E-Class wagon.
To add more sporty emphasis to the elegant
lines of the new E-Class wagon the BRABUS
designers developed a strikingly styled aerodynamic enhancement kit manufactured
from Pur-R-Rim in OEM quality.
Just as important for a customized appearance
are BRABUS Monoblock IV, V and VI light-alloy
wheels, which are available in various designs
in sizes from 17 to 20 inches.
There are also a number of BRABUS
suspension solutions for the Mercedes
E-Class wagon, developed in cooperation
with SACHS Race Engineering. The BRABUS
high-performance brake system features
360-millimeter disks and six-piston aluminum
calipers on the front axle and four-piston
calipers in the rear.
The list of BRABUS interior options includes
stainless-steel sill plates, ergonomically
shaped safety steering wheels with airbag,
and exclusive BRABUS fully leather interiors
crafted from a combination of soft yet durable

Modernste Kommunikationstechnologie
im Auto bietet die BRABUS MultimediaAusstattung, die harmonisch in die S-Klasse
integriert wurde und über einen Organizer
gesteuert werden kann, der auch als Fernbedienung fungiert.
Herzstück des Systems ist ein besonders
flaches IBM X-Serie Notebook, das im Kofferraum in einer elektrisch ausfahrbaren
Schublade unter der Hutablage sicher untergebracht ist. Der BRABUS Computer ist im
neuen GPRS-Standard mit bis zu 56 K Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit ständig mit dem
Internet verbunden.
Der neue Mercedes S 600 definierte mit
seinem 500 PS / 368 kW starken Zwölfzylindermotor mit zwei Turboladern das Leistungsniveau in der Luxusklasse neu. BRABUS setzt
diesem Triebwerk mit dem neuen BRABUS SV
12 Biturbo Hubraummotor die Krone auf.
Speziell abgestimmt auf diese Rad/ReifenKombinationen ist das BRABUS Fahrwerksmodul für das ABC Fahrwerk. Damit wird der
S 600 nicht nur sportlicher, aber dennoch
komfortabel abgestimmt, sondern auch um
ca. 20 Millimeter tiefergelegt.
Der Weg von serienmäßigen 500 PS/
368 kW aus 5,5 Liter Hubraum zu 640 PS/
471 kW aus 6,3 Liter Zylinderinhalt ist das
Resultat eines kompletten Redesigns des
V12 mit zwei Turboladern.
Um die elegante Linienführung der FaceliftGeneration der Mercedes S-Klasse sportlicher zu akzentuieren, entwickelten die
BRABUS Designer einen neuen AerodynamikKit. Die BRABUS Frontspoilerstoßstange mit
vier integrierten Zusatzscheinwerfern verleiht
der Luxuslimousine nicht nur ein noch markanteres Gesicht, sie reduziert auch den
Auftrieb an der Vorderachse.
Ohne Einbußen in der Laufkultur wird die
Luxuslimousine damit zum ernsthaften
Herausforderer der schnellsten Sportwagen
der Welt: 0 – 100 km/h in 4,3 Sekunden,
Tempo 200 nach 13,5 Sekunden und eine
elektronisch auf 310 km/h begrenzte Höchstgeschwindigkeit machen dieses Auto zu einem
Fahrerlebnis der Extraklasse.
Um die hohen Fahrleistungen stets sicher
kontrollieren zu können, kann auch der neue
S 600 mit der BRABUS Hochleistungsbremsanlage ausgerüstet werden, die speziell für die
großen Mercedes Modelle entwickelt wurde.
Unerlässlich für die sichere Umsetzung der
enormen Fahrleistungen sind aber vor allem
auch die attraktiven BRABUS Monoblock VI
Leichtmetallräder. Die mehrteiligen BRABUS
Monoblock VI Doppelspeichenfelgen in den
Größen 9.5Jx20 vorne und 10Jx20 auf der
Hinterachse werden mit Michelin und Pirelli
Hochleistungsreifen der Dimensionen
245/35 ZR 20 und 275/30 ZR 20 bestückt.
Das 12 Zoll große TFT-Display, das in den
mit feinstem Leder bezogenen Dachhimmel
integriert und elektrisch ausfahrbar ist, dient
gleichermaßen als Monitor für den PC wie für
den DVD-Wechsler, der Infotainment in höchster Bild- und Dolby Digital Tonqualität bietet.
Zusätzlich statten die Interieur-Spezialisten
von BRABUS die Luxuslimousine mit zwei
weiteren, 7 Zoll großen LCD-Monitoren im
16:9 Format aus, die in die vorderen Kopfstützen integriert sind.

package offers state-of-the-art communication technology on wheels. The equipment is
integrated harmoniously into the S-Class
interior, and is operated with an electronic
organizer that also functions as a remote
control.
The heart of the system is an extremely slim
IBM notebook computer housed safely in an
electrically deployed drawer under the hat rack
in the trunk. The BRABUS computer features
GPRS wireless standard and is permanently
connected to the Internet at 56k. The
electrically deployed 12-inch TFT display is
integrated into the leather headliner and
serves as monitor for the PC as well as for
the DVD changer that offers infotainment
with an incredibly sharp picture and Dolby
digital sound quality. In addition BRABUS
specialists install two 7-inch LCD monitors
in 16:9 format that are integrated into the
back of the front headrests.
The new Mercedes S 600 redefined the
standards for power in the luxury class with
its 500 hp / 368 kW 12-cylinder engine
equipped with two turbochargers. BRABUS
crowns this engine with the new BRABUS SV
12 bi-turbo increased-displacement engine.
The increase from standard 500 hp/368 kW
from 5.5-liter displacement to 640 hp/471 kW
from 6.3 liters is the result of a complete

engine turns the luxury sedan into a serious

An absolute must for bringing this kind of
performance to the road safely are attractive
BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels. The
multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock VI doublespoke wheels in sizes 9.5Jx20 in front and
10Jx20 on the rear axle are fitted with Michelin and Pirelli high-performance tires in sizes
245/35 ZR 20 in front and 275/30 ZR 20 in
the rear.
The BRABUS suspension module for the ABC
suspension is specifically matched to the use
with this tire/wheel combination. It gives
the S 600 a more sporty yet comfortable
ride with the ride height lowered by about
20 millimeters.
To add more sporty highlights to the elegant
lines of the facelift-generation Mercedes
S-Class the BRABUS designers developed
a new aerodynamic-enhancement kit. The
BRABUS front spoiler bumper with four integrated auxiliary headlights lends the luxury
sedan a more striking appearance, and

durch die BRABUS Fabrik, in der jedes Jahr
mehr als 6.500 Mercedes Automobile veredelt werden.

100 Journalists Visit Bottrop
The smart-BRABUS GmbH has been in existence now for more than a year. The joint
venture between smart GmbH and BRABUS
as even partners is the official factory tuner
and develops sporty accessories for current
and future smart automobiles. But that’s not
all: The most powerful models in each model
series now will come from smart-BRABUS
GmbH in Bottrop.
The company will move into its new
headquarters facilities adjacent to BRABUS
in Bottrop this fall. 120 employees will
find modern and secure workplaces in
R&D, sales, after-sales service, logistics
and production.
Now available at all smart centers and smart
satellites are the new smart city coupe
BRABUS and smart cabrio BRABUS. They set
themselves apart from the rest with a 75 hp/

In early May more than 100 journalists were
invited to Bottrop to test the new cars before
they went on sale. The extensive test drives
were complemented by a guided tour of

at the gourmet restaurant “Ange d’Or Junior“
in Essen, which has earned two stars from

with the Ruhr area’s ‘national dish’ – curry
sausage with French fries, prepared in a
highly unusual way.
The journalists not only enjoyed the world’s
most exclusive curry sausage, they also were
excited about the new top-of-the-line smart
models: “Lively and quickly the 75-hp engine
revs up, while sounding wonderfully powerful“, AutoBild wrote in issue 21/2003.
