The Tourist Office
Situé sur la place Caron dans la Maison de Val
Thorens, il est ouvert tous les jours de 8h30 à 19h.
On trouve au sein de l’Office de Tourisme un coin
enfants constitué d’un espace de jeu aménagé de
petites tables et de chaises.
Situated on Place Caron and is open everyday from
8.30 am to 7 pm.
You will find, in the Tourist Office foyer, a space

The Funslope
Val Thorens crée un parcours XL de 900 mètres de long
situé à côté du télésiège express débrayable "2 Lacs" avec
plus de 50 modules de jeux faisant appel à tous les sens
grâce à des modules sonores et d’interaction physique.
Tunnels en neige, ponts, spirales, virages relevés, 3 minutes
d’action destinées aux skieurs et snowboardeurs qui
veulent s’amuser.
Fun course dotted with obstacles are coming to France for
the first time. Val Thorens has designed a 900-metre long
XL course situated next to the 2lacs chairlift with over 50 fun
modules appealing to all the senses thanks to its sound, light
and physically interactive modules. Snow tunnels, bridges,
spirals, banked turns… 3 minutes of action aimed at funseeking skiers and snowboarders.
EASY PARK, LE FREESTYLE
ACCESSIBLE À TOUS
Easy park: freestyle
Un nouvel espace de 7 hectares facile à rider pour le plaisir
de tous ceux qui souhaitent s’essayer aux sensations
que procure le freestyle. Il suffit de traverser la piste des
plateaux pour s’inspirer des figures des experts à l’œuvre
sur le snowpark expert de renommée internationale.
A new 7-hectare easy-to-ride area for anyone who wants
to sample the thrills of Freestyle with specially adapted
springboards so learners can practise jumps and shapes. And
just across the nearby Piste des Plateaux, freestylers will be
inspired by masters of the discipline showing off their tricks
in the existing.
DO YOU SKI CROSS OR NOT ?
Les mordus de skicross, amateurs ou experts, pourront
rejoindre le Fight Ski Club, une communauté de skieurs
rassemblée autour du Val Thorinois Jean-Frédéric Chapuis.
Pour remporter le précieux sésame d’entrée il faudra se
mesurer au temps de référence du champion sur sa piste
de ski cross équipée d’un système de chronométrage et
de vidéo. Défi organisé par le Club des Sports, une fois par
semaine sur le stade JF Chapuis, ouvert à tous à partir du
niveau étoile d’or.

Whether amateurs or experts, ski cross enthusiasts can all
join the Fight Ski Club, a community of skiers that’s grown
up around Val Thorens native Jean-Frédéric Chapuis. To earn
the precious entry password, you just have to see how you
measure up to the champion (benchmark time) on a ski cross
run equipped with a timer and video recorder. Organised by
Sports Club, once a week, open to everyone as long as you
have your gold star level.
LE VTPASS
The VTPass
Le VTPASS c'est l'indispensable qui permettra aux familles de
bénéficier d'une multitude d'avantages : aqua club, fun park,
luge, atelier enfant et bien plus encore. Le VTPass peut s'acheter
à l'Office de Tourisme, aux parkings de ValThoparc, au centre
sportif et en flashant les QRcodes présents dans la station.
The VTPASS is the ultimate tool that will offer families amazing
deals for several activities: aqua club, fun park, tobbogan
run, children workshop and much more...The VTPass can be
purchased at the Tourist Office, Valthoparc's parkings, the sport
center and by using the QR codes available around the resort.
DES IDÉES SÉJOURS
ET WEEK END EN FAMILLE
L’Office de Tourisme propose tout au long de l’hiver
des animations gratuites. À partir des vacances de Noël,
chaque semaine le lundi et vendredi de 11h à 12h, des
ateliers créatifs sont proposés. Inscription obligatoire la
veille du jour de l’animation à l’Office de Tourisme (10
enfants maximum). Présence obligatoire des parents.
En période de vacances scolaires, un spectacle pour les
enfants au Forum Joseph Fontanet est prévu une fois par
semaine.
The Tourist Office offers free entertainments during
the winter. Every Monday and Friday from 11am to 12 am,
creative workshops. Registration is compulsory the day
before the activities at the Tourist Office (10 children at
the maximum). Parents have to be present during the
activities.
During French school holidays, a show for kids is programed at
the Forum Fontanet once a week.

Des activités d’intérieur et d’extérieur ludiques et
variées, adaptées aux âges et aux rythmes des enfants
sont programmées : jeux, dessins, luge, maquillage,…
Les enfants sont sous la responsabilité d’infirmières et de
puéricultrices (3 à 8 enfants par groupe). Chaque Mini Club est
équipé d’un espace d’accueil, de repos et d’un restaurant pour le
déjeuner.
Le carnet de santé ou de vaccinations est obligatoire.
Different activities, inside and outside, are organised in function
of your children’s age like drawing, sledging, and make up.
Children are looked after by nurses and child care workers
(3 to 8 children per group). Each Mini Club is equipped with
a space to rest and a restaurant for lunch.Your child health

et Caron.
To give beginners a chance to learn how to ski at their own
rhythm, the beginner ski pass. It costs half price of the public

Few tips from "Valthy" the marmot
• T o protect yourself from the sun, remember to wear your
sunglasses and some suntan lotion.
• T o avoid feeling tired make sure you have a hearty breakfast
in the morning.
• In the car, if you have a cold, to avoid any pain in your ears
ask your parents to drive slowly up or down the mountain
and remember to chew some sweets.
• In the mountains, the air is very dry so remember to drink
water several times during the day.
• If you are lost in Val Thorens resort go to the Tourist Office,
Town Police or Police station, someone will be able to help
you find your parents.
• If you are lost on the slopes, go and find a ski patroller
(dressed in yellow and black) or a ski lift staff member.
• In the mountains, the weather changes quickly so always
make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes even if it
looks nice outside when you leave to go skiing or walking.

Valthy se prépare pour partir au ski sur l’espace débutant, aide-la en entourant les affaires qu’elle devra prendre.
Valthy is about to go skiing on the beginners skiing area, help her circling the stuff she needs.
• Pour ta sécurité, mets ton casque à chaque sortie de ski et
encourage tes amis à faire de même !
• L e contrôle de ta vitesse est une règle d’or en ski.
• Tous les skieurs " en aval " (en dessous de toi) sont
prioritaires.
• Tu ne dois pas attendre tes amis ou ta famille en plein
milieu des pistes.
• Tu ne dois pas sortir des pistes sans professionnel de la
montagne qui connaissent les risques d’avalanche.
• Tu dois toujours garder une distance de sécurité envers
les autres skieurs.
• En cas d’accident, tu dois immédiatement informer
le service des pistes. Demande à un adulte son
téléphone et appelle les pisteurs en leur précisant
le nom de la piste et le numéro affiché sur le panneau
situé sur le bord de la piste.

• Avant de partir au ski, tu dois t’assurer d’une bonne météo
et des ouvertures des pistes (elles sont affichées tous les
jours à l’Office de Tourisme, sur les différents écrans
situés dans la station et sur le site valthorens.com).
• Si tu te trompes et que tu dois remonter les pistes,
mets-toi bien sur le bord pour ne pas gêner les autres
skieurs.
• For your own safety, wear your helmet every time you go on the
slopes and try to convince your friends to do the same.
• T he control of your speed is a golden rule when you ski.
• All skiers in front of you have priority.
• Y ou cannot wait for your family and friends on the middle
of the slopes.
• Y ou cannot go off piste without a mountain guide as there
are avalanches risks.
• A lways keep a safe distance between you and other skiers.
• In case of an accident, you must inform the ski patrol. Ask an
adult for their phone and call the ski patrol informing them of
the slope’s name and the number showing on the board on
the edge of the slope.

efore going skiing you need to make sure the weather is
good and the slopes are open (you will find this information
at the Tourist Office, on screens located in different parts of
the resort and on the website valthorens.com).
• If you make a mistake and you have to go back up the slopes,
make sure you stay on the side to avoid disturbing others
skiers.

• Pour te protéger du soleil pense à mettre des lunettes de
soleil et de la crème solaire.
• Pour éviter les coups de fatigue pense à bien déjeuner

• En voiture, si tu es enrhumé, pour ne pas avoir mal aux
oreilles, demande à tes parents de ne pas monter ou
descendre trop vite, et pense à mâcher des friandises.
• En montagne l’air est très sec, pense à boire au cours de
la journée.
• Si tu es perdu dans la station, va à l’Office de Tourisme,
à la Police Municipale ou à la Gendarmerie, quelqu’un
pourra t’aider à retrouver tes parents.
• S i tu es perdu sur les pistes, va voir les pisteurs (habillés en
jaune et noir) ou le personnel des remontées mécaniques.
• En montagne les variations de température arrivent
très vite, pense à prendre des vêtements chauds et
imperméables, même s’il fait beau et chaud au moment
du départ au ski ou en balade.

Un jardin d’enfants privé avec remontée mécanique permet
aux enfants de s’initier à leur rythme avant de s’élancer
sur les pistes. Tous les vendredis soir : médaille et diplôme
offerts autour d’un chocolat chaud.
A private children garden with their own ski lift to help kids
build their confidence before hitting the real slopes. Every
Friday night: medals ceremony around a hot chocolate.
Les enfants débuteront dans un espace aménagé
permettant d’appréhender tout en douceur les plaisirs de
la glisse. Une fois le freinage, le chasse neige et la capacité
à se relever acquis, les enfants quitteront le jardin pour les
grandes pistes.
Children will begin in an enclosed area to allow them to
discover the joy of skiing in a secure environment. Once
braking, snowplough and being able to stand up after falling
have been mastered, children can go onto the real slopes.

new landscapes. A very gentle and eco friendly mean of
transport!
• Pour économiser de l’eau : prends une douche plutôt
qu’un bain et ne laisse pas couler l’eau inutilement.
• Pour préserver la nature : respecte la tranquillité des
animaux.
• Pour économiser l’énergie : baisse le chauffage lorsque
tu pars au ski, ferme les fenêtres et éteins les lumières.
• Pour limiter les émissions de Co² : prends la navette
gratuite ou déplace toi à pied, dis à tes parents de
conduire moins vite et utilise au maximum les transports
en commun.
• Pour limiter les déchets : dis aux adultes d’utiliser des
cendriers de poches et trie tes déchets.

more slowly and use public transports.

ashtrays and sort your waste.
