L’Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek was named “One of the Top Ten
Restaurants in the Southwest” by Condé Nast Traveler. We also have the
area’s most extensive wine program to compliment our world class cuisine
and ambiance.
Winner of the Wine Spectator‘s “Best of Award of Excellence”, the only one in
Northern Arizona, our wine list was hand crafted to emphasize the boutique
selections available from the U.S., as well as more diverse international
selections.
We search out the best wines from the top wineries in the three main Arizona
wine regions; Cochise County, Sonoita/Elgin, and the Verde Valley. While
some grapes are sourced from California, many great wines are made right
here in Northern Arizona.
The service staff works closely with the Executive Chef Rochelle Daniel to
create wine pairings that best accompany her, “French with a modern
American approach cuisine.”

Schramsberg was originally founded in 1862 by Jacob Schram, but did not gain internationally recognition
until the 1960’s when the Davies family converted the neglected property to the top sparkling wine house in
the new world. They continue to be considered one of the finest sparkling wine producers outside of
Champagne.

David Lett planted the first Pinot Noir vines in the Willamette Valley, in 1965. The “South
Block” is ten rows of vines planted in 1968 at Eyrie’s original vineyard. In 1975, David began
bottling the wine from these vines separately.
At two international wine competitions in Paris (1979) and Beaune (1980), the 1975 South
Block Reserve gathered high scores, finishing only two-tenths of a point below the Drouhin
1959 Chambolle -Musigny. It was the first time an American Pinot noir had competed
successfully with the great wines of Burgundy, and the first formal recognition of Oregon as
a top-rank wine-growing region.

Many consider the wines of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti to be the greatest in the world.
They are some of the longest lived wines of Burgundy with a tantalizing balance of power
and finesse. The limited production and exclusivity also make them some of the hardest
wines to find on a restaurant list. We are proud to have this selection available.

The mountain vineyards of Napa tend to show wines that are extracted and rich. In the
right hands, these grapes can be made in to wines with great structure, depth and a sense
of refinement. I believe these selections fit the bill.

Voted as winemaker of the year in 2011 by the SF Chronicle, Cathy Corison is a beacon
classic cabernet sauvignon winemaking. After making wines for Chappellet and Staglin
for years she started her own label in 1987. Her balanced approach has gained her a
devout following by sommeliers and collectors alike.

Beringer winery was established in 1876 and is one of the iconic houses of Napa Valley.
Starting in 1977, Ed Sbragia created Private Reserve using the best fruit from their historic
vineyard holdings throughout the mountains and valley of Napa. It is still consider a
benchmark for California Cabernet.

Norman de Leuze, ZD Wines Founder was a pioneer in the California wine industry. He
began working to produce World Class California Wine in the 60’s, a time when there were
very few other California wineries. In 1969, when the winery was bonded, it had been over
a decade since a winery had been started in Sonoma County.

Robert Parker 100 points
The Wine Advocate - "From the Pritchard Hill Vineyard, the 2006 IX Proprietary Red Estate is a blend of 66% Cabernet
Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. The good news is that there are 1,500 cases of this
cuvee. It, too, reveals the noble sweetness of tannin, the extraordinary rich, intense mouthfeel, and sumptuous aromas
of flowers, burning embers, blackberries, blueberries, spice box, and cedar. With extraordinary intensity, beautiful purity,
a texture and flavors that build incrementally on the palate, and a significantly long finish, this is a perfect wine."

the “Grand Crus” of Napa Valley. Only the best wines are blended to make the namesake bottling.
The exceptional wines that are not used for the final blend are put into the second bottling ‘Matriarch’.

E. Guigal owns some of the best vineryard sites in the Cote Rotie. La Mouline in the Cote
Blonde, Le Turque in the Cote Brune has extended southern sun exposer, and La Landonne in
Cote Brune is on a 45 degree slope. They also own the ancient fort Chateau d’Ampuis and its
surrounding vineryards, which are considered possibly the best in the region

Larry Turley, co-founder of Frog’s Leap in Napa, discovered early on the potential of wines
from single vineyard and old vine zinfandel. Along with winemaker Ehren Jordan, Turley has
become one of the benchmarks for the varietal.

Large Format Bottles
Don’t be afraid to go BIG! A party of four is perfect for a magnum and it is a great
chance to try a wine from an older vintage that may not be available in a smaller bottle.
Plus, everyone in the dining room will look at your table in awe because of the big bottle.

Madeira was the wine that built this country, as it was the drink of choice for our
