1964 Engineer and sailor Michel Dufour set up his own boat-building yard where he was
born in La Rochelle.
1965 He conceived the legendary Arpège, daringly modern, of which 1,500 were built.
1973 The first production yacht-builder, Dufour was awarded the Export Prize.
1995 Dufour revolutionized the yachting industry by launching the concept of the fully-equipped
sailing yacht. The industry would never be the same again.
2004 Launch of the Grand’Large series of ocean-going yachts.
2006 Five Grand’Large models came out of our workshops: the Dufour 325, 425, 485, 525,
and the 365, elected Yacht of the Year.
2010 Dufour’s Grand’Large Dufour 405 was elected European Boat of the Year.
2012 Lauch of 4 new Grand’Large models : 380, 410, 450 et 500.
