Alex Trochut est un illustrateur, designer et typographe
connu pour ses formes épurées, géométriques mais
sensuelles. Son travail est reconnu pour son aptitude à
transformer de simples mots ou symboles en art conceptuel.
Le spectateur est interpellés dans une dynamique d'échange
avec ses créations et s’ouvre une conversation inspirante,
à base de métaphores visuelles, de jeux de mots et références
culturelles.
Alex Trochut is an illustrator, designer and letterer known for
his geometrically precise yet fluid, sensual forms. His work is
sought after for its ability to elevate a simple word or symbol
into a piece of inspiring conceptual art. There is a dynamic
exchange that occurs between his designs and the viewer,
as they engage in a conversation based upon visual metaphor
,
puns and references that require a cultural viewfinder.
Après la publication de "More and More", Trochut s'est intéressé
au thème de la dualité et comment le représenter sur papier
,
avec un travail en 2D. Il a inventé et breveté un processus grâce
auquel deux images bien distinctes peuventapparaître sur une
même surface. L'une visible de jour est remplaçée par une autre
dans le noir.
Following the publication of “More is More,” Trochut became
interested in the duality that could be represented in one
two-dimensional work on paper. He invented a process through
which two completely separate images could be shown on one
surface–one which appears in light, and one which appears
only in the dark.
Trochut p résente chez colette une nouvelle série de “prints binary”,
exposés pour la première fois : Think Twice. Cet accrochage m ural
phosphorescent explore la dualité des objets et notre perception,
selon la lumière.
Trochut will be presenting for 1st time in colette a new series of
binary prints: Think Twice. A glow in the dark installation that
explores the duality of subjects and how we perceive them
under the light and in the dark.
