Cooling / heating priority
(AIRSTAGE™ (VRF-II Series Heat Pump model only))
•• If another indoor unit in the same system is already operating in the
cooling mode or dry mode, heating mode settings cannot be performed.
•• An indoor unit that is set up as an Administrative Indoor Unit can
operate in the AUTO mode.
•• Administrative Indoor Unit:
Special indoor unit is not restricted by the switching of cooling and
heating described above.
It may happen if the unit is set to refrigerant system setting.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before requesting service, perform the following checks:
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•• The “SAFETY PRECAUTIONS” indicated in the operating manual contain important information pertaining to
your safety. Be sure to observe them.
•• For details of the operation methods, refer to the operating manual.
•• Request the user to keep the manual on hand for future use, such as for relocating or repairing the unit.
This mark indicates procedures which, if improperly performed, might lead to the death or
WARNING serious injury of the user.
•• In the event of a malfunction (burning smell, etc.),
immediately stop operation, turn off the electrical
breaker, and consult authorized service personnel.
•• Do not repair or modify any damaged cable by
yourself. Let the authorized service personnel to
do it. Improper work will cause a electric shock or a
fire.
•• This unit contains no user-serviceable parts.
Always consult authorized service personnel for
repairs.
CAUTION
This mark indicates procedures which, if improperly performed, might possibly result in
personal harm to the user, or damage to property.
•• Do not set vessels containing a liquid on this unit.
Doing so will cause heating, fire, or electric shock.
•• Do not expose this unit directly to water. Doing so
will cause trouble, electric shock, or heating.
•• Dispose of the packing materials safely. Tear and
dispose of the plastic packing bags so that children
cannot play with them. There is the danger of
suffocation if children play with the original plastic
bags.

If the problem persists after performing these checks, or if you notice
burning smells, or the operation lamp flashes, immediately stop operation,
turn off the electrical breaker and consult authorized service personnel.

Instructions related to heating are applicable to “HEATING PUMP MODELS” and “HEAT RECOVERY
MODELS” only.

(Select HEAT or COOL automatically.)
•• If the priority mode is set to “Priority on Administrative Indoor
Unit”, the operating mode of other indoor units except
Administrative Indoor Unit will be controlled by an
Administrative Indoor Unit.
•• If the operating mode of Administrative Indoor Unit is set to
“AUTO”, “AUTO” is displayed in addition to the display of
current operating mode on other wired remote controllers
except Administrative Indoor Unit. In this case, operation of
other indoor units is controlled by the Administrative Indoor
Unit.
Ex. : When operating mode of the Administrative Indoor Unit
is set to “AUTO” while air conditioning setting.
(The indication on other wired remote controllers
except Administrative Indoor Unit).
(1) When
is displayed, there are functions for which settings cannot be made.
When a button is pushed to change a restricted setting,
will flash.
(2) When
is displayed, some operation are restricted. In such case, contact the administrator.
(3) During Automatic Defrosting operation and Oil Recovery operation, “
” will be displayed
on the remote controller.
(4)•When “ ” or “ ” is indicated on the temperature display, it means under maintenance.
•When “ ” is indicated on the temperature display, anti freeze function is activated. However, this function cannot be operated by the remote controller.
(5) Preset values are displayed when the “

TEMP.” button, the “ FAN SPEED” button is pressed while stopping.
(6)Mode indication blinks when inoperative setting of indoor unit is made.
(7)Blinking of the fan speed display means the timing for filter
cleaning of the indoor unit.
To erase indication, press the “ FAN SPEED” button for
more than 2 seconds.

Priorité refroidissement/chauffage
(AIRSTAGETM (modèle à pompe à chaleur série VRF-II uniquement))
•• Si, au sein d’un même système, un appareil intérieur fonctionne en mode de
refroidissement ou de déshumidification, les réglages du mode de chauffage ne
sont pas disponibles.
•• Une unité intérieure définie comme unité administrative peut fonctionner en
mode AUTO.
•• Unité intérieure administrative :
L’unité intérieure spéciale n’est pas limitée par le basculement entre
refroidissement et chauffage décrit plus haut.
Cela peut se produire si l’unité est réglée en mode de refroidissement.

•• Ce mode d’emploi explique comment utiliser le matériel.
•• Demandez à l’utilisateur de conserver le manuel à portée de main pour pouvoir l’utiliser ultérieurement (lors du
déplacement ou de la réparation de l’unité, par exemple).

•• En cas de dysfonctionnement (odeur de brûlé, etc.),
arrêtez immédiatement le climatiseur, coupez le
disjoncteur et contactez un technicien agréé.
•• Ne réparez ou ne changez jamais vous-même un câble
endommagé. Confiez cette tâche à un technicien agréé.
Toute mauvaise manipulation pourrait engendrer une
électrocution ou provoquer un incendie.
•• Le climatiseur ne contient aucune pièce réparable par
l’utilisateur. Pour toute réparation, veuillez contacter un
technicien agréé.

•• Ne posez jamais de récipient contenant un liquide sur le
climatiseur. Cela pourrait provoquer une électrocution, une

électrocution ou une surchauffe.
•• Débarrassez-vous des matériaux d’emballage comme il
se doit. Déchirez les emballages plastique et mettez-les
au rebut dans un endroit où des enfants ne risquent pas

peuvent être la cause d’étouffements.

•• Si vous devez déplacer le climatiseur, faites appel à un technicien
agréé ; celui-ci se chargera de le débrancher, puis de le réinstaller.
•• Ne touchez pas le climatiseur avec les mains mouillées ;
vous pourriez vous électrocuter.
•• En présence d’enfants, veillez à prendre les mesures de
précautions nécessaires pour éviter qu’ils ne s’approchent
du climatiseur.
•• N’effectuez aucune réparation ou modification vous-même ; vous
pourriez vous blesser ou provoquer une défaillance matérielle.
•• N’utilisez jamais de gaz inflammables à proximité du
climatiseur. Toute fuite de gaz pourrait provoquer un incendie.
•• N’installez aucun appareil électrique dans un rayon de
1 mètre autour du climatiseur. Cela pourrait provoquer des
dysfonctionnements ou des défaillances.
•• N’utilisez jamais de feu ou n’installez jamais d’appareil
de chauffage à proximité du climatiseur. Cela pourrait
provoquer des dysfonctionnements.
•• Ne touchez jamais les interrupteurs avec des objets
pointus. Cela pourrait provoquer des blessures, des
dysfonctionnements ou une électrocution.
Avant de demander de l’assistance, effectuez les vérifications suivantes :

Si le problème persiste après avoir effectué ces vérifications, ou si vous remarquez
des odeurs de brûlé ou des voyants qui clignotent, arrêtez immédiatement le
climatiseur, coupez le disjoncteur et contactez un technicien agréé.

•• Si le mode de priorité est réglé sur “Priorité sur unité de contrôle
intérieure”, le mode de fonctionnement des autres unités intérieures,
à l’exception de l’unité intérieure de contrôle, sera commandé par
une unité intérieure de contrôle.
•• Si le mode de fonctionnement de l’unité intérieure administrative
est réglé sur “AUTO”, “AUTO” s’affiche à côté du mode de
fonctionnement en cours sur les autres télécommandes câblées,
sauf celle de l’unité intérieure administrative. Dans ce cas, le
fonctionnement des autres unités intérieures est commandé par l’unité
intérieure administrative.
Exemple: Lorsque le mode de fonctionnement de l’unité intérieure
administrative est réglé sur “AUTO” pendant le réglage de
la climatisation. (L’indication sur les autres télécommandes
câblées à l’exception de celle de l’unité intérieure de
contrôle).
Lorsque le climatiseur est sous tension, appuyez sur le bouton

Si la mention “ ” s’affiche, veuillez contacter immédiatement le
personnel d’entretien autorisé. N’utilisez pas l’appareil lorsque
l’affichage indique une erreur (voir ci-contre).
Si le voyant de fonctionnement clignote, cela signifie qu’une erreur
s’est produite.
