pure sound. American? English? Nope, made in
Switzerland by the group Jetlakes who are about to release
their 2 tracks - Not too late and Back to life - recorded in
Question de Son studio in Paris by the famous engineer
Steven Forward and mastered in New York by the no less
famous Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound). The video is Steven
Blatter’s work, a master in his field.
Du rock. Du vrai avec ses guitares planantes et un son très
pur. Made in Etats-Unis ou Angleterre? Pas du tout. Made
in Switzerland et signé du groupe Jetlakes qui sort son 2
titres – Not too late et Back to life – enregistré au studio
Question de son, à Paris, réalisé par le célèbre ingénieur
du son Steven Forward, et mastérisé à New York par le
non moins célèbre Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound). Le clip est
l’œuvre de Steven Blatter, une référence en la matière.
The story of Jetlakes is that of five young music lovers:
Alex, composer, singer and the group’s pianist, David on
the bass guitar, Arthur on drums and Yannick and Romain
on guitars. Drawing influence out of the U.S. Rock scene,
from Linkin Park to Imagine Dragons not to mention
Britpop dynamos Arctic Monkeys, they are inventing their
own lofty style with resonances deeply rooted in rock.
Discovered by Steven Forward at a concert in Paris May
2013, they’re releasing their new album with him at the
end of 2014.

L’histoire de Jetlakes, c’est celle de cinq jeunes passionnés
de musique: Alex, compositeur, chanteur et pianiste du
groupe; David à la guitare basse; Arthur à la batterie; Yannick
et Romain, les guitaristes. Puisant leurs influences dans la
mouvance rock US, de Linkin Park à Imagine Dragons, sans
oublier la brit pop à la sauce Arctic Monkeys, ils inventent
leur propre style aérien, aux sonorités profondément rock.
Remarqué par Steven Forward lors d’un concert en mai
2013, à Paris, ils sortiront avec lui leur nouvel album à la
fin de 2014.
The lyrics of Not too late and Back to life, co-written by Alex
and Paul Breslin- writer for Ray Charles- are inspired by
everyday life, which they recount in their highly tweaked
pieces.

s’inspirent du quotidien qu’ils racontent à travers des
morceaux très travaillés.
Friends for over 10 years, the Jetlakes musicians have
gained tons of experience playing on over 150 stages,
most notably the Guitar en Scene festival (France) and the
Reservoir club in Paris.

A fitting title for a song with its powerful rhythms while
the singer’s warm voice strongly contributes to the
track’s drive. The perfect balance between guitars, bass
and drums means that Back to life is a track that’ll wedge
itself between your heart and mind.
Un nom bien choisi pour un titre aux rythmes puissants,
soutenus par la voix chaude du chanteur qui contribue
