Only one invoice Château Caladroy Cotes du Roussillon CALADROY is situated in the Commune de Bélesta close to the saddle point of “la Bataille”and dominates the Plaine du Roussillon, giving a large panorama between the Mont Canigou and the Mediterranean Sea as horizon. Dating since 1020, between source, olivewoods, centenary cedar trees and Chapels, we invite you to discover the curiosities of our exceptional site. Our vineyard height gives acidity and a certain freshness to our wines which makes them different from Mediterranean ones, and let them avoid insects treatments. The density of the plantations let the ploughing all year long. Our 130 hectares are manually dug with an optimal maturity search in order to extract to the maximum our “terroir” taste, with a manual sorting in wine cellar to elaborate three of the finest vintages in Côtes du Roussillon Villages. We are committed to a reasonable agriculture and only use methods that will not harm our vines and respect the environment. With its continental climate –cold winters and hot summers -, its pebbly soil, its long tradition of wine making dating back to the Romans, the Coteaux Varois en Provence area aims at producing generous and typical wines, hearty reds, aromatic rosés and fresh, flowery whites. We are one of Provence’s top wine makers and have been recognized as such by gold, silver and bronze medals in Macon and in Paris as well as by favourable reviews in the press specialized or not as well as by the most prestigious guides. Our rosé macerates for 5 to 6 hours and is “bled” and not pressed and is kept at 17° Celsius during its fermentation. We produce two types of red wines – both shirazbased— one made and raised in vats whereas our most prestigious cuvee, made from vines aged over 30 years, is raised in recycled oak barrels in order to preserve its aromas and give it the refined elegance which it deserves. We also produce in very small quantities a cuvee in white made and raised in oak barrels which give it a fullness and a delicate complexity that will surprise you. Calvados Domfrontais area and that of « Pommeau de Normandie »on the Melleray La Vallee district which is classified : “remarkable site for good taste”. This has been a family estate since 1975 spread over 26 hectares of which 15 hectares are planted with apple trees for cider and 6 hectares with pear trees for perry. The orchards surround the domaine where Calvados is distilled with great care. Owing to our granite soils located at different depths we can produce either perry (pear cider) which will be distilled to obtain Domfrontais Calvados or cider which is meant for the production of Calvados. However, we also produce aperitif drinks such as Pommeau de Normandie (mixing apple juice with Calvados) and Douceur de poiré (mixing pear juice with Domfrantais Calvados). Our production also produces cider and cider vinegar. The pears (blanc, de cloche plants) come from high stem pear trees, often 100 years old. They are harvested in autumn, crushed and pressed. The fermented juice is distilled to obtain Domfrontais Calvados which is aged in oak casks in our cellars. The same process is used with the bitter and sweet apples (typical of the region) to produce Calvados and Pommeau de Normandie. Our vines grow on the ancients river Chers’ terraces and develop on 2 types of ground: flint clays and shell clays. We cultivate the vines with environmental respect. The grapes are picked when fully ripened and vinified using the modern techniques of temperature control. Our priority is to extract a maximum of fruit aromas and just the right amount of tannin to produce a perfect structure …. so that the wine remains a pleasure. Smoothness and complexity for our “Valençay”, unctuousness and strength for our “Touraine”, beautifully refreshing for our “Vins de Pays”, light bubbles and refinement for our Traditional Method…. When you stop off at our estate, you experience the pleasure and the excellence. Its historical buildings house a fine wine museum and our wine business offices and store rooms. The adjoining residence is still occupied by the family. For all the various domaines, spread over 165 hectares, the basic knowledge of the “terroir” is respected. All the plots of land are listed on computer and each year receive individual treatment to aid growth. Our business has been certified “structured agriculture” since 2004. The harvesting of each domaine is separately vinified in stainless steel tanks, thermally regulated and with the right selection of yeast in order to respect each terroir. Both the white and the pink wines are vinified at low temperature in order to extract the maximum aromatic potential of each wine. The red wines are vinified according to the traditional method, but make use of current technical tools. The twice daily lifting of the must allows for the extraction of all the phenolic characteristics from the must. Thereafter one proceeds to the maturation by using the micro-oxygenation process. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are grown and this ensemble gives the wine a complexity that units fullness with structure. Up-to-date processes are used by the Chateau, but the wines are matured in oak casks to ennoble each vintage. You will find the vineyards of the Nadau family located to the south of Libourne at Faleyras, on the limestone plateau at the heart of l’Entre-deux-Mers. Its Chateau and vines are an historic and passionate story of the Nadau family. For 150 years the art of the wine has been passed from one generation to another. The Nadau family and its employees exert all their passion to create wines that conform to the high standard of the Bordeaux Certification system. Jean Louis Nadau produces red, pink and white wines and therefore fully represents this region with his great wines. The property is situated at the heart of a medieval town, Dambach la Ville, which itself nestles at the centre of the legendary Alsace wine route. The varied geology of the Alsace region is a benefit: the 7 Alsace grape varieties are adapted to the nature of the soils and the continental climate. The characteristic soil is made up of alluvia from the slow decomposition of detritus and the erosion of the Vosges, the mountains which protect us from excessive rainfall. Here and there, outcrops of varying mineral veins can be found. Depending on the plots and how they lie, the harvest will therefore provide various types of wine, which should be drunk fairly young. Dambach La Ville is the town of 2 mica granite (iron and magnesium), and because of the poor soil in which it is grown, its FRANKSTEIN “Grand Cru” (high quality wine) makes the vine dig down deep to find the mineral sustenance needed to produce wines of character. The average age of the vines is 27 years. We work 14 Hectares, spread over the following villages: Dambach la Ville, Dieffenthal, Itterswiller and Albé. Vinification is traditional - Michel Dietrich wanted to preserve the tradition of his craft, handed down by his father and grandfather. Certain plots are worked with the help of our “comtoise” mare and the wines are housed in beautiful large oak barrels, allowing us to work with our local wild yeast. The wine designation’s “terroir” enjoys the benefit of a wide variety of soil types and large pebbles, especially on red clay, which enable the grapes to attain very high levels of maturity. The family domain where three generations live together – grandfather, father and son - is made up of 11 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 10 hectares of Côtes du Rhône, 4 hectares of Vin de pays. The vineyard respects tradition, it is managed using sustainable farming methods, ploughed and enriched organically. Some of the plots have nearly reached a century in age, these old strains benefit from more careful handling, allowing us to make exceptional wines. All the harvests are hand picked at optimal maturity and the grapes are very selectively sorted on table. This enables us to offer a range of three Côtes du Rhône wines and four Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, all different so that each plot expresses and unleashes its own personality. These are aged either in tank or oak barrel according to the wine. In 1204 a female Cistercian order was created and the Monges Abbaye became one of the rare Cistercian Abbaye for women in Languedoc. Dating from 1204, the Abbaye Chapel from that era is still present. As far as the region of Abbaye de Monges is concerned it consists of 30 hectares of lime clay sandy soils with pebbles. The micro-climate of the Clape Massif brings a maximum of sunshine and the proximity of the sea with its morning fog is favourable to the ripening of the grapes. The wines of Abbaye de Monges are more typical of the region : The Clape region gives fine mineral aromas to the whites and for the red wines, aromas of black fruits and tannin with a balanced palate to the mouth.
