TURBO CLAP STATION
Inspired by Indian street sound-systems, Mazalda's Turbo Clap Station is a huge lively
acousmonium where 6 musicians, a sound engineer and the public are surrounded by 50
horn-like loudspeakers to bath and transport everyone in an exotica trance experience.
A metal structure surrounding the 6 musicians hold the multi-diffusion system made of 50
Indian horn-like loudspeakers. The sounds of the instruments are conducted to the
different loudspeakers by the « Sigma 01 » mixing board that has been conceived and
constructed especially for this project. Structure and musicians are lightened by a set of
neon lights that create light scenes associated to different musical atmospheres of this
almost spatial station.
In Turbo Clap Station, Mazalda has composed its own hypnotic and psychedelic dance
tunes, finding inspiration in Omar Souleyman's dance music from Syria, Raï from
Maghreb, Huayno from Peru, etc.

Biography
Mazalda was formed in 2002 by the same six musicians as today. They
started out playing popular/traditionnal dance music from various countries
as a street band. A first album was released in 2005.
In 2007, Mazalda developed an electric version to play on stage. The
repertoire mixed personnal compositions, psychedelic athmospheres, and
popular music from abroad. The second album entitled Science-Fiction was
realeased in 2008.
In 2010, Mazalda creates its Turbo Clap Station to play outdoor concerts
of dance music for a wide audience surrounded by the amplified sound of
the band. A brand new repertoire is composed for this show and released
in 2011 in their third album entitled Turbo Clap. Turbo Clap Club is an
adaptation of this concert for clubs and medium-sized concert stages.
In 2011, Gandalf Goudard succeeds Mathieu Ogier on percussions in the
acoustic version. En 2012, Norbert Lucarain succeeds Mathieu Ogier on
drums in Turbo Clap Club and Turbo Clap Station. An album entitled
Dauphin, gathering selected recordings with Mathieu Ogier is released in
2012.
Since 2002, Mazalda has performed more than 500 concerts in France,
Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Turkey.

- 4 MTD115 + inclinable U-brackets + stands with hand crank height 3.50m+power amps+crossover.
- 2 Sub SB118 + power amp + independant crossover (subs are on an Aux of the mixing board).
- 2 xlr strap 2m to join your amps from our patch.

Wide enough for 10 people with instruments, near the concert place, where musicians can warm up (making
sounds), lockable, with toilettes and showers.
