The Learning Coach

The Learning Coach can help you upgrade your
academic skills or help you get the credits you need
for your Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
The Learning Coach
The Learning Coach uses distance education
courses offered by the Independent Learning Centre in
Toronto. You can do your courses online or in print.
The Learning Coach is open all year round and you can
start a course at any time of the year. You can get
help with math, science, English or research
homework through Ask a Teacher chat rooms. Course
materials are provided on loan and course work is
marked by Ontario certified teachers.

• Register and take care of the paperwork
• Get funding to pay for your courses
• Complete your course work
The Learning Coach is:
• Open three times a week:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Located at the Salvation Army’s
Bethany Hope Centre at

The Learning Coach is a partnership between the
City of Ottawa’s Ontario Works’ Learning, Earning and
Parenting (LEAP) program, the Youville Centre and the
Salvation Army’s Bethany Hope Centre. This program
is designed to help young mothers and fathers who
are Ontario Works LEAP participants further their high
school education.

Encadrement études peut t’aider à améliorer tes
aptitudes aux études ou à accumuler les crédits
nécessaires pour obtenir ton diplôme d’études
secondaires de l’Ontario.
The Learning Coach
Encadrement études, utilisent des cours d’éducation
à distance offerts par le Centre d’études indépendantes
de Toronto. Tu peux suivre ces cours par Internet ou
sur papier. Encadrement études est disponible toute
l’année : tu peux commencer un cours quand tu veux.
Tu peux obtenir l’aide dont tu as besoin pour une
recherche ou pour des devoirs de mathématiques, de
science ou d’anglais, en communiquant avec SOS
DEVOIRS, par téléphone ou par Internet. Le matériel de
cours te sera prêté, et tes travaux seront notés par des
enseignants certifiés de l’Ontario.

Expérience, poursuite et reprise des études pour les
parents (programme EXPRESS) mis sur pied par Ontario
au travail
Encadrement études peut t’aider à :
• Choisir les cours qui te conviennent;
• T’inscrire et fournir les formulaires et documents demandés;
• Obtenir les ressources financières pour payer tes cours;
• Réaliser tes travaux scolaires.
Encadrement études est :
• Ouvert trois fois par semaine, soit les
mardis, mercredis et jeudis
de 9 h 30 à midi trente;
• Situé au Bethany Hope Centre de l’Armée du salut,
1140, rue Wellington Ouest, Ottawa
(près de l’intersection de l’avenue
Parkdale et de la rue Wellington),
circuit d’autobus no 2.

Encadrement études est né d’un partenariat entre
le Centre Youville, le Bethany Hope Centre de l’Armée
du salut et la Ville d’Ottawa, par le biais du programme
Expérience, poursuite et reprise des études pour les
parents (programme EXPRESS) Ontario au travail.
Encadrement études vise à aider les jeunes mères et
les jeunes pères qui participent au programme EXPRESS
à poursuivre leurs études secondaires.
