C’est le second de ce duo allemand, Holger Goetz (chant/claviers) et Ralf Link (guitares/basse/synthés),
dont Musea avait publié « Another World » il y a deux ans. « Troyan » est un concept album : les morceaux
suivent les aventures et la quête d’un joueur dans un jeu vidéo. La musique est un Néo-Progressif rafraîchissant
et mélodieux, influencé par Marillion, Pink Floyd, IQ…Claviers et bruitages créent des atmosphères qu’exploite
une guitare incisive. Les parties vocales, sobres et équilibrées, évoquent souvent Alan Reed (PALLAS). Bien
composé et bien joué, voilà un excellent album.

Un concept intéressant
This is the second one by this german band, Holger Goetz (vocals/keyboards) and Ralf Link
(guitars/bass/synth). “Another world”, the first one has been released by Musea two years ago. “Troyan” is a
concept album based on the idea of a computer game, and the adventures and quest it offers. The music is a very
fresh and melodious Neo-Progressive Rock, with influences of Marillion, Pink Floyd, IQ… Suggestive
atmospheres are created by the keyboards and sounds, helped by vivid and sometimes heavy guitar solis, sober
and well-balanced sung parts. Goetz’s voice often recalls Alan Reed’s one (PALLAS). Well composed, well
played: an excellent album.
