Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires
electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt
installation. Contact a qualified electrician.

in the luminaires that have the construction features and
dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings.
Only those open holes indicated in the photographs
and/or drawings may be made or altered as a result of
kit installation. Do not leave any other open holes in
an enclosure of wiring or electrical components.
WARNING - To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not
expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
WARNING - This product is sensitive to Electrical Static
Discharge (ESD). Care should be taken to avoid direct
contact with the LEDs. Installers should be grounded
using a wrist strap or other suitable method of
grounding. Failure to ground the installer may cause
pre-mature failures and void the fixture warranty.
Suitable for damp location fixtures.
THE RETROFIT KIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT
OF A LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE
COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY CSA
OR AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.

Seuls les trous ouverts indiqués dans les photographies et/

un ensemble de câblage ou de composants électriques.

installateurs doivent être mis à la terre en utilisant un
bracelet ou une autre méthode appropriée de mise à
la terre. Defaut de mécanisme à la terre le programme
d'installation peut provoquer des défaillances
prématurées et annuler la garantie du luminaire.
Convient pour l'emplacement luminaires humides.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Compatible with most 2-lamp and 4-lamp
fluorescent fixtures. Not compatible with
most 3-lamp fluorescent fixtures. To avoid the
possibility of electric shock, turn off power.
2. Open the troffer and remove existing lamps, lamp mounts,
ballasts / drivers, interconnection components. Remove but
DO NOT DISCARD BALLAST COVER and ballast screws.
(Fig. 1) Retain existing feed wires.

3. Dispose of ballast and lamps in accordance
with environmental requirements.
4. Clean dirt and solvents from inside surface of housing.
5. Attach optional magnetic alignment tool to inside
surface of housing by aligning center slots over the
ballast mounting holes along the center of housing,
OR, if no alignment tool then use pre-existing
position of lamps as alignment position (Fig. 2).

Optional magnetic alignment tool is
compatible with 2L or 4L fluorescent fixtures.
6. Align first set of LED boards: To secure, apply pressure
but DO NOT RUN FINGERS ALONG OR ACROSS
BOARD as this may damage the LED. (Fig. 3).
A. 2x4, 2x2: Align LED board to outside edge of alignment
tool,* with wiring terminals towards fixture end caps.
B. 2x4: Repeat step A. on the other half of the
luminaire. Align boards end-to-end.
*Keep alignment tool for subsequent retrofits.
*Test fit boards without removing thermal tape to
see if lamp sockets need to be removed. Also insure
boards do not overlap in the middle of fixture.

7. Install Driver using existing ballast holes and position (Fig. 4).

8. Connect LED wiring harness(es) to LED driver.
Standard fixed output (not dimming):
Black, white and green wires provided. Black and white wires
are supplied with a snap-fit wiring harness to the LED driver.
Click = Connection is secure. Green ground wire is loose; green
ground screw provided in parts bag for securing to housing.
Optional 0-10V Dimming:
GORK will be shipped with capped grey/violet
dimming wires; connectors by others
Optional Step Dimming:
GORK will be supplied with two sets of hot leads; connector by others.
9. Connect ground, neutral and hot wires
(main power feed) (Fig. 5).

10.Reinstall ballast cover through end wireways. Ensure wires
are not pinched along length of ballast cover (Fig. 6).

11.Carefully check that all mechanical and
electrical connections are within code (Fig. 7).

12.Installation complete. Reinstall shielding. Apply power to the fixture.
