A direct outlet for local products, a clearinghouse for food products from all regions, the MIN guarantees the multiplicity of distribution channels, required for maintaining corner shops. MIN has undertaken an investment programme of 10 million Euros over 5 years, with the support of local authorities and the ERDF1, in order to adapt itself better to the requirements of consumers in terms of price, quality, freshness and food safety. In 2007, the MIN of Rouen opened a new horticultural area named «Floremandie» on an area of 6,000 m² with 6 companies selling flowers, plants and accessories.
